TRANSPORTATION
Proposed Livermore City projects include extension of BART high-speed rail system to Livermore with an underground downtown station that will connect Livermore to the existing BART system that now ends at the Dublin/Pleasanton stations.
Connecting in downtown Livermore will allow travelers to walk across the platform to the ACE train that already serves cities over the Altamont Pass in the Valley including Tracy, Lathrop, Stockton, and Sacramento. From Livermore/Pleasanton ACE train extends to the Silicon Valley with stations in Fremont, Great America, Santa Clara, and San Jose.
This will greatly reduce the time commuters and visitors spend on the freeways and help Spare the Air in this beautiful Golden Valley.

From humble beginnings in the Gold Rush days, the Livermore Valley has come a long way. Located on one of the main arteries in San Francisco Bay Area, the Livermore Valley stands at the gateway to the Sierras.
